“Listen to your own Voice, Your own Soul.
Too many people listen to the Noise of the World
instead of themselves.” ‐Leon Brown
Have you ever wondered what impact the sound of your voice has on your life? We have only seven
seconds to make a first impression‐do you know what yours will be? How you are perceived by others
can affect your personal relationships, your professional advancement, and every daily interaction.
When you know how to use your voice effectively, your message will be better received and more
Have you ever wondered just what your life’s purpose is? Do you know what adds meaning and
clarity? When you know your core values, it is easier to act with intention and set priorities that
allow you to be the driver of your own journey.
In this course, we will explore voice and values in a search for answers to these questions and more.
Using experiential exercises involving breath, movement, reflection and laughter, you will:
o Gain the skills to use your physical voice to command attention and convey your message with
confidence and impact
o Use your breath to quiet your body to stay present and engaged in your day‐to‐day
o Develop a greater understanding of what is personally meaningful for you and strategize ways
to align your lives with your values
o Find ways to stay on track when life gets messy
Laura Verdun is a speech pathologist and communication coach who helps women to strengthen
their voice and refine their message. Amy Heard is a clinical psychologist who helps women coping
with life’s challenges to build awareness, develop intention and create more meaning in their lives.
They both wonder a lot about life and balance and finding their own purpose, and would welcome
the opportunity to explore some of these questions with you.
