Finding God in All Things: Ignatian Spirituality
Thursday, March 7 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
An event every week that begins at 9:30am on Thursday, repeating until Thursday, April 4, 2019
St. Ignatius of Loyola gifted the world with his Spiritual Exercises 450 years ago. Their relevance and impact has been and continues to be profound. Join us as we explore them in depth in what he called a “retreat in daily life.” For 6 weeks, our group will gather to deepen our personal relationships with God while building community, with the Spiritual Exercises as our guide. Themes included in the Spiritual Exercises include God’s mercy, episodes in the life of Jesus, the passion of Jesus, and the resurrection of Jesus, together with a contemplation on God’s love. This last is often seen as the goal of Ignatian spirituality, to find God in all things.
Participants will need to bring a journal, and the guide book The First Spiritual Exercises. This retreat is open to all people interested in exploring or deepening their spirituality in the Christian tradition. Space limited to 7 participants.
