Mindfulness for 4th & 5th Graders (6-Week Class)

An event every week that begins at 4:30pm on Tuesday, repeating until Tuesday, February 26, 2019
We know that our kids are facing challenges we never encountered as youth: social media, excessive screen time and a dependence on devices to name just a few. Mindfulness – bringing curious attention to what’s happening right in front of us – is a life skill that can be practiced and honed, and that studies show leads to a more balanced and healthy life. And the earlier in life these practices are introduced, the better! The specific exercises taught in this class are based on decades of data that show mindfulness strengthens the mind’s focus and relaxes the body by calming the nervous system. Among the specific benefits for kids:
