Refuge Recovery from Addiction (FREE)
Thursday, July 12, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
|Recurring Class (See all)
An event every week that begins at 7:30pm on Thursday, repeating until Thursday, December 20, 2018
Refuge Recovery is a Buddhist-inspired path to freedom from addiction. This is an approach to recovery that understands: “All individuals have the power and potential to free themselves from the suffering that is caused by addiction.” We feel confident in the power to relieve suffering of all kinds, including the suffering of addiction. This is a process that cultivates a path of awakening, the path of recovering from the addictions and delusions that have created so much suffering in our lives and in this world.
Created by renowned teacher Noah Levine, participants learn to train their hearts and minds to see clearly and respond to their life events with the principles of understanding and non-harming. This group meets every Thursday night on a drop-in basis. Meetings are free, but you may leave a donation for the use of the space.
